What is a QIF File?

QIF (Quicken Interchange Format) is a text-based format created by Intuit for Quicken. It's also supported by Microsoft Money, GnuCash, and many other personal finance applications.

How to Convert CSV to QIF

1. **Download your bank transactions** as CSV.

2. **Upload to our CSV to QIF converter** — free up to 25 rows.

3. **Select columns** for Date, Description, and Amount.

4. **Download the QIF file**.

5. In Quicken: **File > Import > QIF file**.

Each field starts with a letter code:

  • `D` = Date
  • `T` = Amount
  • `P` = Payee/Description
  • `^` = End of record
